When All the Lights Go Out

I burned the text of Hesse’s book of poems and then read it again. The image keeps enlarging and traversing these skeletonised code-like symbols, finally focusing on the faint slit in the middle of the pages. Is there another way of reading silence when we lose our words and are confronted with these words of symbols, civilisations, humans, things, epics that have been burned and dissolved?
